Brain Candy Reaction

I would say that I think video games and TV could sometimes be good and sometimes be bad for you. It could sometimes be good because you are using your brain and you are learning new things on the TV. I would say that I agree but I also disagree. I agree because video games and TV are sometimes good for you because like I said you learn new things in the news which happens to be on the TV and some video games such as tetris I think would help your brain and how you think because you have to think. So I guess in the end I would agree with what the author is saying because I think that TV and video games could make you smarter. I think that it all depends on what you watch on TV and what video games you play. So I would say yes he is probably right about video games and TV making you smarter because I actually think that TV and video games do make you smarter. Scientists should probably test this theory. Therefore, I agree with the author and I think that video games and TV could possibly make you smarter just depending on what you watch and what video game you play.

My Reading

Well, I brought a book today but I didn't read that book because I wanted to catch up on my reading for Anthem. So what I read in Anthem today is how Equality was in the enchanted forest and then Liberty found him in the forest. Then they walked together in the forest and they eventually found this house in the enchanted forest. This house was interesting to them because they really hadn't seen that much light in a room before and they hadn't seen an actual house before. So they were really excited and really interested to find out more about this house that they had found in the forest. That is how far I have read so I can't really say much more. I would like to say that I have really enjoyed reading this book. This book is really exciting and keeps me thinking about what is going to happen next.

technology

What Equality tries to do at the Hall of Scholars is show his box of light to the Council. He showed his box of light to them because he wanted to show that he had discovered a new thing that nobody else had discovered yet. What Equality expects to happen is that they will forget about his crime and him breaking all the rules and they will just be ok with it and let him show his discovery and let him get credit for what he has discovered. What happens is that the Council is angry and mad at him for breaking all the rules and doing something without permission so the Council is trying to decide what to do with Equality and the box or light. The Council decides to banish the box or light but then right when they said that Equality grabs the box and jumps out the window and just runs until he reaches the uncharted forest. The Council of the Candle matter here because they are the ones who came up with candles and if they allow this box of light witch is electricity and that would mean not more candles. I think what Rand is trying to say about why this society has such low technology is they are kind of old fashion and they use things that are man made. They have such low technology because they don’t use the high technology things like computers, cell phones, TV, or electricity. I personally think that we should accept all new technology. Yes there are sometimes when we should probably say no. For example there are so many new cell phones and games coming out.
