This story is basically about this girl named Scarlet who has two best friends. There names are Jada and Valerie. Scarlet, Jada, and Valerie have known each other since pre-k. They all grew up together. Now they got to Oklahoma High School in Oklahoma. Scarlet is a very popular/mean person. Jada is a very shy person. Valerie is a goody-goody. Even though these girls have very different personalities they are still very close and trustful friends. All these girls want to tryout for cheer. They have wanted this since they were little. Scarlet is "two faced" because she is nice when she wants to be and she can be mean when she wants to be.
My opinion about this story is about these girls socially destroying each other. Scarlet manages to socially destroy Jada and Valerie because she is actually the mean one and she is a professional at socially destroying people. But in the end Jada and Valerie win because the power doesn't beat the good thing in life. So therefore, in the end Jada and Valerie become the cheerleaders they always wanted to be. Scarlet just continues to live life as she was before.
Exposition: Scarlet, Jada, Valerie
Set-Up: popularity, shyness, and goody-goody
Crisis/Climax: Cheer Team, socially destroying others, and becoming more social with others
Resolution/Twist: Jada and Valerie win because the power doesn't overcome the good

Quotes on Power
“Where love rules, there is no will to power; and where power predominates, there love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other.”
Well I would have to agree with this quote. I agree with this quote because it is very true that one person’s shadow represents the other person. For example is like the saying when they say, “you're walking in each others foot steps.” Another example is that let's say you are at school and there are tones of cliques and there is popular, nerdy, and normal. Well you are going to the cafeteria to eat lunch and they all have their own tables. So you decide to sit at the popular table, they just give you this disgusting glare and then they say “what are you doing” and that is your signal to get up and move. That is their power!
What I think this quote is trying to say is that when love rules there is no power but when power rules there is no love. So when someone is in love with someone his or her love is stronger then the power that isn't there between them, nobody has more power than the other. When there is power then they have no love in their life.
Therefore, I strongly agree with this quote because it really describes life, everything that is happening around you, and all the different power in your life. People with power have no love in their lives. People with love have no power in their life. If you have an even amount of power and love in your life then it would probably balance out your life and that would be good. It would be good because then you would be complete and have a fair life unlike other people in the world.

Guilty #2-ambition
That next day I took the metro bus to my friend’s house. I finally got to my friends house, we decided to go to 7-11 and so my friend needed some money. I already had my own money but my friend needed some. So she asked her mom if she could have some money but her mom said no. So my friend snuck in to her mom’s room and took some money out of her purse. My friend knows that she probably shouldn’t have done that but she did it anyway cause she is kind of spoiled and gets what she wants. So anyway we got to 7-11 and we bought some food. Then we went back to her house and when we got there her mom was so mad. So I had to go right home and she was in a lot of trouble. She really shouldn’t have taken any money out of her mom’s purse, but she did and now she has to pay the consequences.

Laws Of Power
Law 2: Never put too Much Trust in Friends, Learn how to use Enemies
Well for this law it is possible that it will work. This law should work because if you never trust friends that much then you will make enemies very fast. If you don’t trust you friends then they will become your enemy and then you will have no friends. Your friends could betray you very quickly if you don’t trust them. What this law is trying to say is that if you have a friend but then you don’t trust them, then they will become your enemy and then you will have no friends. So if you have an enemy as a friend that enemy will be more loyal because that enemy needs to prove more that an actual friend does. You will probably be more afraid of your friends than your enemies. “If you have no enemies, find a way to make them.” I think what this is trying to say is that if you have no friends then make some so then they can become your enemies or if you have no enemies then make some enemies so that you can learn how to use those enemies.

Guilty
One day I was just minding my own business, walking down the street to go to the grocery store. While I was walking down to the grocery store I saw this homeless man who needed some money. He was standing on the corner of the street. He was asking people who were driving by if he could have some money. So I decided to give him some money cause well he looked like he needed it more than me. I finally made it to the grocery store and I was looking around in the store trying to find the different things on the grocery list that mom gave me, just little tiny things like some pieces of chocolate and a small pack of gum. So I was looking around and I finally found the little things on the list. So I was waiting in line to check out and when I was waiting in line I realized that I didn’t have any money on me. I didn’t have any money because I had given all of it to the homeless man on the corner of the street. So I pretended that I had forgot something on the list so I got out of line. Then I walked around for a little bit so nobody would be suspicious. I stuck the gum and pieces of chocolate into my pocket. Then I decided to run for it so I walked out the store doors and then started running. I got away without anyone catching me in the act of crime. That same day when I got home I didn’t tell anyone that I had stolen anything, but deep down inside I knew it was wrong and I felt really guilty.
