“Where love rules, there is no will to power; and where power predominates, there love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other.”
Well I would have to agree with this quote. I agree with this quote because it is very true that one person’s shadow represents the other person. For example is like the saying when they say, “you're walking in each others foot steps.” Another example is that let's say you are at school and there are tones of cliques and there is popular, nerdy, and normal. Well you are going to the cafeteria to eat lunch and they all have their own tables. So you decide to sit at the popular table, they just give you this disgusting glare and then they say “what are you doing” and that is your signal to get up and move. That is their power!
What I think this quote is trying to say is that when love rules there is no power but when power rules there is no love. So when someone is in love with someone his or her love is stronger then the power that isn't there between them, nobody has more power than the other. When there is power then they have no love in their life.
Therefore, I strongly agree with this quote because it really describes life, everything that is happening around you, and all the different power in your life. People with power have no love in their lives. People with love have no power in their life. If you have an even amount of power and love in your life then it would probably balance out your life and that would be good. It would be good because then you would be complete and have a fair life unlike other people in the world.
